The AMCRL is delighted to co-host the 21st Hanneke Steenbergen thesis award in collaboration with the Hanneke Steenbergen Foundation. This annual award honours the best thesis written at a Dutch university in the field of migration law.
We are delighted to announce that the Arnon Grunberg will present a lecture (in Dutch) before the award ceremony. The topic of his lecture will be his book ‘De vluchteling, de grenswacht en de rijke jood. This book explores the borders of European countries and how they affect refugees. Although borders are not always visible today, they still exist and have a significant impact on global travel. At the symposium, he will discuss the history of Europe and his research on European borders.
