Annually, the NVER (Nederlandse Vereniging voor Europees Recht) awards a prize for the best master thesis in the field of European Union Law. This year, Ralph Groeneveld, a student of the IMRL master specialization at the VU, has won the award for his master thesis ‘The meaning of ‘protection in accordance with the Geneva Convention’ under Article 38(1)(e) EU Procedures Directive in the light of the safe country concept’. In its report the Jury called the master thesis of Ralph ‘innovative and written in a clear and pleasant manner with a scientific approach’.
