New students of the master program International Migration and Refugee Law participated in a ‘real life’ introduction program, Friday September 3rd, in Amsterdam. Not only exciting to meet the new class of students – with more than 15 nationalities – also for staff it is was nice to meet one another again in Amsterdam after such a time of Covid-19 restrictions.
The program commenced with a guided tour in the ‘Jordaan’ district, starting from the Anne Frank statute next to the Westerkerk. The bright sunny day was rather helpful in making this a lovely walk through this historic part of town.
Subsequently, students and staff got to know each other a little better at Campus, with introductions about the course Philosophy of International Law and Migration, information about activities during the master program such as the Migration Law Clinic, Verblijfblog and the International Moot Court Competition held at Gent University Spring 2022. After Younous Arbaoui’s interesting presentation about his research on the Marrakesh Compact, we all had enjoyed drinks in the sun at Campus Square.
