Goodbye to the Master students of IMRL!

During an interesting and highly entertaining closing event of the master program International Migration and Refugee Law students and staff of class 20/21 have said goodbye to each other.

The event consisted of several interesting presentations and a pub quiz. Keshava Gunaratne shared experiences of studying during Covid-19, difficulties, challenges and advantages of remote teaching. Mathilde van der Niet presented her work as intern for the Dutch Refugee Council (Vluchtelingenwerk), while Elliot Cohen spoke about his internship for Frontex. Anastasia Karatzas, Thomas Johansson and Fabio Fabricius presented the two Migration Law Clinic cases in which they were involved, one being a third party intervention at the European Court of Human Rights, the other a preliminary question for the European Court of Justice. Finally PhD-students and alumni of the IMRL-program Jordan Dez and Isabella Leroy introduced the newly established IMRL-alumni network. The quiz was made and presented by Laura Rusconi and Ella Bergel.

The students expressed their enthusiasm about the program, which of course makes us very proud.
